bizsearch.loreatec.jp combines two things a business dealing with Japan usually needs at the same time: company verification — checking a supplier's invoice registration number (T-number) and profile against the official registers — and free import tools: the official customs exchange rates, tariff rates and landed cost, product-compliance requirements and Japanese address handling.
Where the data comes from
Every tool republishes official Japanese sources and says so on the page: the qualified-invoice-issuer registry from the National Tax Agency (refreshed daily), government award data from the GEPS procurement portal, the weekly customs exchange-rate notices and the tariff schedule from Japan Customs, the electrical-appliance (PSE) and consumer-product (PSC) lists from METI, the radio-certification (技適) database from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, and postal data from Japan Post. Data is refreshed on a schedule appropriate to each source, and each page shows its own attribution and disclaimer.
History
The import tools and guides began on japan-warehouse-logistics.org, which from 2021 to 2026 carried a directory of Japanese warehouse and logistics companies. In August 2026 the tools merged with LoreaTec's company checker into this site.
How the site is funded
The tools are free. The site is operated by LoreaTec, an IT services and logistics company based in the Tokyo area, and carries banners for LoreaTec's own device-kitting and IT-logistics services. Those banners are the only promotional content on the site and are always labelled.
Guides
The guides cover the mechanics of importing into Japan as a foreign company: the Importer of Record, the Attorney for Customs Procedures (ACP, 税関事務管理人) system, customs duty and import consumption tax. They cite the official sources — Japan Customs, the National Tax Agency and the responsible ministries — and are reviewed periodically. They are general information, not legal or tax advice; for a binding answer engage a licensed customs broker (通関業者), a zeirishi (税理士) or the authorities directly.
